Moss & Tale started the way most honest ideas start: a frustrated parent at bedtime. The books were well-loved. Too well-loved. The same twelve words on every page, memorised by everyone, no surprises left.

What a child actually wants — what lights them up — is to hear their own name in a story. To be the one who saves the day. To have their pet rabbit Biscuit appear as a sidekick. To see their obsession with volcanoes turn into the reason they're the only person in the world who can solve the crisis.

That used to take a storytelling parent with a good memory and unlimited patience. We built the second option.

Moss & Tale is built in Wales, UK. Small team, high standards. We care about getting the stories right — not just technically correct, but genuinely good. The kind of stories that get asked for again the next night.

We take children's privacy seriously. We comply with the UK Children's Code, we don't advertise to children, and we don't share data with anyone outside what's needed to make the stories. Parents are in complete control.
